Mountain Alchemy — Spanish Pyrenees

24-31 May 2025

Investment: Starting at €1199

Harmonize in the heart of nature on this week-long co-ed yoga retreat. Set in a serene, unplugged environment in the Spanish Pyrenees, this retreat will bring to life the sacred dance of Shiva and Shakti, Yin and Yang — the masculine and feminine energies. Restore your inner balance as we explore the interplay of strength and softness, stillness and movement, power and receptivity, through yoga, meditation, hiking, specialized workshops, embodiment practices, ritual, and immersion in the healing power of nature, free from the distractions of modern digital life.

Now, more than ever, it is valuable to really get to know our energetics — to understand the polarities of masculine & feminine, and to open our eyes to this ancient dance that is all around us and within us. This age-old wisdom holds the keys to health and resilience for both current and future generations.

Join us in the sacred mountains and awaken your inner harmony…

Immerse yourself in the transformative dance of nature, yoga, and connection.

What Makes This Retreat Special

In today’s rapidly evolving and digitally complex world, a simple retreat, or an act of drawing within oneself, is becoming more and more essential to ensure we do not pour from an empty cup. With the right environment and intention, we can not only rejuvenate and reinvigorate but reconnect with the peace that is our birthright — a peace that exists in every breath, every step, every meal, every moment.

“Tantra provides practical techniques applicable by men and women of every temperament and spiritual level, and aims at turning every action of life into an act of sadhana, or spiritual practice.”
Meditations from the Tantras, Swami Satyananda Saraswati

Tantra is the basis of the modern yoga we practice today. On this retreat, free of the modern over-sexualization of tantra, we will explore the play of Shiva & Shakti, expressed in all nature, including each of us. Step away from the noise of daily life to reconnect with the timeless wisdom and energy of the mountains. For one week, we’ll put down our screens and find spirit in every shape and form—through movement, meditation, creativity, and the natural world.

This retreat will offer a harmonious balance of yin and yang energies: from practicing dynamic yoga to restorative yoga, from hiking mountain trails to relaxing with a good book, from silent meals to sharing circles, and much more. We will take time to honour both the masculine and feminine through separate circles for men and women, working with our respective solar and lunar energies, both from the yogic and the Traditional Chinese Medicine perspectives.

Daily Yoga & Meditation

Every day of the retreat will offer unique, embodied yoga and meditation practices, such as Creative Vinyasa, Candlelit Yin, Traditional Hatha, Tantric Meditations, Visualizations, and Breathwork (Pranayama), lovingly guided by your facilitators, Tiana, Sophia, Adam, and special guest meditation teacher Alicia López-van Dam. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or just beginning on your yoga journey, we hope to provide well-rounded practices where everyone finds snippets to take back home.

Lifelong Community

Be embraced by a global community of like-minded people. Let your heart open and your gifts bloom in this serene, supportive, and uplifting environment. Together, we’ll share space and meals, and explore deep spiritual practices and themes, as well as simply be. Feel the power of connection as we walk, meditate, and create in harmony with nature and one another, fostering bonds that will last long after the retreat ends.

Experiential Workshops

Explore the interplay of feminine and masculine, Shiva and Shakti, Yin and Yang, with specialized workshops such as Tantra & Partner Yoga, Meditative Art, “Make your own Medicine” Plant Workshop with fresh mountain plants, Ecstatic Dance, Kirtan, and more. We will come together for special gender-specific circles; women will gather for a Red Tent Ceremony and men for a Solar Cycle Men’s Circle, offering a chance for both groups to honour their unique life experiences in a supportive and intentional setting.

Learning Immersion

This retreat is immersive and intensive in nature. Therefore, participants who are already yoga teachers can choose to earn 50 hours of “Continuing Education” (certified by Yoga Alliance) for taking part in the program. However, there is absolutely no need for you to be a yoga teacher to join the retreat, and there will still be ample time for relaxation and integration, even if you are choosing to earn Continuing Education Credits.

Digital Detox

Embrace the rare and indulgent opportunity to fully unplug for an entire week—no phones, no screens, just the pure presence of nature and meaningful connection. With no Wi-Fi or cell service at our serene mountain retreat, you’ll be free to disconnect from the demands of modern life. In this peaceful environment, a week away from digital distractions can help harmonize your energy, heighten your senses, and deepen your ability to connect — with yourself, those around you, and the magnificence of nature.

Homemade Holistic Meals

Nourish yourself with three delicious vegetarian meals a day. Based on the holistic hygienist diet, our wholesome retreat menu focuses on balancing nutrients and combining foods that cover all your energetic needs while ensuring good digestion. Enjoy homemade yogurt, seasonal fruits and vegetables, whole grains, tofu, seitan, soups, salads, and light desserts lovingly made in-house at Casa Cuadrau.

The Place: Casa Cuadrau

Casa Cuadrau is an eco-friendly, sustainable retreat house nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, it offers the perfect setting for spiritual immersion. Located in a majestic corner of Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, within the Sobrarbe-Pyrenees Geopark, the region is one of the most biodiverse in Europe. The house sits in a small village called Vió, in an elevated valley with breathtaking mountain views in every direction. The house was lovingly built from an old ruin, using bioconstruction techniques and inspired by yoga principles. Casa Cuadrau exudes a warm, honest, and welcoming atmosphere, helping guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. With no Wi-Fi and limited cell service, the quiet environment fosters a deep sense of peace and calm. The spacious wooden yoga shala, cozy private and shared rooms, and tranquil outdoor terrace and garden all contribute to Casa Cuadrau’s serene ambiance.

One of the foundational pillars of this very special venue is its sustainability social project, in which are involved 4-5 volunteers who live and work in Casa Cuadrau for several months at a time. They will be welcome to join us in classes, workshops, and excursions whenever possible and will become part of our community as we will become a part of theirs.

Meet Your Teachers

  • Co-Founder
    E-RYT 500, YACEP

I am a curious student, passionate teacher, and lifelong lover of creative movement and expression. As a facilitator, I draw from my background in yoga, dance, theatre, and education to offer explorative movement and meditation practices, weaving together asana, music, mantra, storytelling, and poetry. I teach from my heart, and try to live that way, too, which leads me on great adventures! Over the past decade, I have been around the world, studying and teaching in India, Peru, France, Morocco, Costa Rica, and back in my hometown in Ontario, Canada. I love to learn and have completed over 500 hours of training in Bhakti Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Yin Yoga, and am an ongoing student of Hindu Mythology and Tantric Philosophy. I lead international retreats and yoga teacher trainings, as well as kirtan, ecstatic dance, poetry workshops, and kids yoga. I am a certified dance, drama, and language teacher, with two Bachelor’s degrees in Arts and Education from Queen’s University in Canada. I love to read, especially fiction, and especially under a tree or by a river. I find endless inspiration in nature, and love going on long walks, getting my hands dirty, sliding down natural water slides, playing in the waves, and making potions. I’m excited to create with you!

  • Co-Founder

Sensitive and curious, always ready for an adventure, often in search of beauty, special places in nature, and large bodies of water to submerge myself in. You may find me by rivers, rocks, waterfalls, and long point breaks, most probably muddy and barefoot.

I am a yoga facilitator with a deep love for organic, playful movement. I believe that moving our bodies in different, fun, and creative ways can spark even more inspiration and joy both on and off the mat.

I studied yoga in North Sumatra, Indonesia with “Flying Elephant Yoga” and in Costa Rica with “Authentic Movements”. I am always looking for new ways of expanding my knowledge about this never ending journey to the self.

Since becoming a mother to a daughter, I dove even deeper into the arts and mysteries of the womb, and what it means to carry this sacred portal through life. I now offer Fertility Awareness Method education, as well as sovereign pregnancy, postpartum, and reproductive health support.

My origins are a mix of Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan, Polish, and Azerbaijan roots. Russian is my mother tongue, and I lived in Russia and Moldova for the first 10 years of my life, before moving to France.

I speak Russian, French, English, and Spanish.

I cannot wait to dance with you!

  • Teacher & Special Guest
    RYT 500

Adam is a devotional character exploring the path of love! He understands that the intensity of life requires practice along with loving support. His journey is to learn and teach these practices from a place of child-like curiosity. Adam has lived with shamans in Mexico learning and facilitating Temazcal Sweat ceremonies and traditional medicine experiences, studied traditional hatha yoga and meditation at an eco-ashram in Mysore India (RYT 500), has lived off-grid in the mountains of Baja growing his own food through permaculture practices, and coaches Kids gymnastics (Gymnastics Ontario) and yoga (Rainbow Kids Yoga).

He expresses himself creatively through instrumentation, visual art and movement. All of his offerings are taught from a space of fun and patience, allowing these practices to weave themselves into the fabric of our daily lives!
